24 Hours in Stratford-Upon-Avon

The birthplace of William Shakespeare is a must see for all literary fans, add in the stunning scenery and general dreamy feel and Stratford-upon-Avon is a must see UK location.

We started off the day by heading to Lodge Farm Sunflower Farm, this place was absolutely amazing. The staff were friendly and each sunflower costs 50p and all the money goes to charity. They have a little food stall too so that you can stop and have a little snack after picking sunflowers and admiring the view!

Then we headed to Stratford-upon-Avon for the afternoon while waiting for our air b&b to be ready, parking was a bit of a nightmare as it was busy but we managed to find a spot near the butterfly farm (which is worth checking out if your sans a dog), we walked over the bridge and into the centre to see the sights.

We decided to stop off for some lunch (which was delicious) and Seb lost his first tooth!!

After lunch we decided to head back to the car and go check into our air b&b, the weather was glorious and there was so many people out and about!

Our air b&b was beautiful, it was called "The Milking Parlour" and was on a farm, there was wooden beams everywhere and the host had left some farm fresh eggs and milk for us to enjoy too.

While we were waiting to go for lunch, randomly the police showed up looking for someone in another cottage. We went out to chat to him and he let Seb in his car to do the lights and the sirens and it was honestly the highlight of his week!

We then headed out for tea at the Golden Cross which was a local pub, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was brilliant. The service was a little slow but it was quite busy to be fair so that can be forgiven.

Overall, Stratford-upon-Avon was a lovely place and I would go back but again maybe more for a romantic weekend with Graham rather than with the kids and Hugo.
