24 Hours in Bath

When you think of Bath you think of romatic getaways, the roman baths, stunning archutecture and an amazing shopping destinaton. But how does Bath cater for familes and your 4 legged friends? Well heres what we got up to in Bath

It was really hot the day we went to Bath so we stopped off at Pets at Home for a cooling coat for Hugo first, we were stuck really as we had to check out of our air b&b at 10am and couldnt check into the next one until 4pm so we were stranded outside as couldnt find anything inside that Hugo could go to as well.

We walked up to the famous attactions of the Circus and the Crescent as these were the main bits that i wanted to see before heading down to a cafe for something to eat and some milkshakes!

Then we headed into the centre again to have a look at some of the shops and the cute little streets, we found a bubble tea place so we all just had to have one again!

By this point it was about 2pm and we had ran out of things to do, in my opinion Bath is somewhere to go with friends or with a partner rather than a family especially with a dog as there doesnt really seem much to do, the roman baths were off limits with Hugo and so were the museums etc. So we headed to Stroud (where we were staying) to have a look around the centre there. We walked the cobbled streets, stopped off for a drink in a cafe and went in the shops.

I personally loved Stroud and would stay there again for sure, it would be a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. We checked into our hotel and arranged to meet up with one of Grahams oldest school friends who lived in the area, we had tea at the hotel and then walked to the local park with the kids to let them play. This was honestly the best part of the day to be honest!

All in all, I wasn't impressed with Bath that much. Its a beautiful city for sure and I would go back to give it a second chance but this time with just me and Graham for a weekend, where we could visit the attractions that were inaccessable to us this time. Stroud is a beautiful little village and if we look at exploring the cotswolds, this will 100% be our base!
