Camp Bestival Review - Friday

We started off the day by having some breakfast and a game of cards at the tent before donning our festival gear and heading in for our first full day at Camp Bestival.

We actually managed to miss the welcome sign yesterday so we walked through it this time to really feel like we had entered!

We had a wander around to a section that we totally missed the day before! How I don’t know as it was massive, there was tons of tents with activities in, a pirate ship filled with sand and a Nivea tent which was giving out free sun cream and ice lollies. We played some of the games there and Alice did a bit of colouring too.

We then headed into Temple Woods, this bit was amazing. There was a woodland orchestra you could play on.

A section called Lizzies Way which was a full play set up in the woods of kitchens, stalls, games and a potions bit too.

After playing here for a while we went to Slow Motion near the lake, there were people paddle boarding and swimming along with hot tubs, more food places and a whole chilled out vibe here.

At the end of the woods was Jitterbug Circus which had tons of circus activities you can try, we stayed for quite a while trying them all out and getting balloon animals!

We then headed to the Feast Collective for lunch, the kids had Turkish chicken and rice, Graham had a wrap and I had a fire pit toastie! Cost wise I think all 3 cost about £30 which isn’t too bad at all.

After our bellies were full, the kids had been eying up the world’s biggest bouncy castle.....so we went to let them go on. It was £10 for both kid for 10 minutes of bouncing, they absolutely loved it.

We then headed to Big top Mania for a Family Circus show, which was brilliant! Lots of tricks and acrobatics to watch, the kids (and Graham) were mesmerised!

We headed over to the main stage and spotted the giant I love CAMP sign so we obviously had to take some photos on there!

We then walked down to near the main stage so we could watch Showhawk Duo, this was the only band I was adamant that I wanted to see, they’re 2 lad who play guitar but play dance songs instead of what you would expect. They got the crowd up dancing and we ended up right at the front singing our hearts out and dancing away!

After all that excitement we headed back into Temple Woods for something a little more calming, Cirque Bijou performance which was thought provoking and beautiful to watch.

We went for some food and mooched into Carniversari to watch the trapeze show sat inside a bumper car none the less before heading back to the tent for a while.

We had told the kids that they can have a sweet treat each night when they are usually in bed so tonight we went for waffles and they were amazing! I had the Nutella dream with strawberries and whipped cream, the kids had chocolate ones and graham went for the ice cream dream option, we sat in Bollywood and ate them before wandering around the site to see everything lit up!

The kids were starting to struggle a bit now so we headed back to the tent for the night, I was going to go down to watch Becky Hill on my own but i could hear it from the tent so instead sat outside and listened along.

This post is a PR Trip, I was offered free tickets to attend but not asked for any posts or recommendations as compensation but was asked to promote the event beforehand. All opinions are my own.
